Start a public or client shipper search with an unambiguous city, state or province, or country and understand which providers are eligible to appear.
Who can do this
- Anyone can search and open public shipper results without signing in.
- Signed-in clients use the same search behavior under the client portal and can continue to messages and contracts after completing their profile.
Before you start
- Choose the location where the fulfillment work will operate, not your browser location, billing address, customer address, or parcel destination unless those are genuinely the same place.
- Decide whether you need a city-level match, a wider state or province search, or every eligible shipper in a country.
Steps
- On the Fulfield home page, find the location box under Find Your Local Shippers. On other public pages, use the location box in the header; on the results page, use the full-width search box above the filters.
- Enter at least two characters of a city, state or province, or country. Wait for the supported Google or Baidu location suggestions when they are available.
- Choose the suggestion whose main and secondary text identify the intended place. This preserves separate city, state, country, and search-level information instead of treating the entire phrase as a city name.
- Select Search or press Enter. Anonymous visitors go to /search-results; signed-in users go to the corresponding client results route.
- Read the result heading to confirm both the displayed location and provider count before adding filters or a scenario.
- If the place is a country, expect a country-wide result set. If it is a state or province, expect that region. If it is a city, results must match that city and any supplied region/country components.
- Open a result only after confirming that it represents the intended market; then continue with filters, the scenario calculator, or profile review.
Fields and decisions
- Public search returns approved, active shippers that have not disabled acceptance of new clients; it does not list pending or inactive applications.
- The location is the warehouse service market you want to evaluate. Searching a customer delivery city is useful only when you actually want inventory stored and fulfilled there.
- Selecting an autocomplete suggestion is more reliable than entering an ambiguous place such as Springfield or Georgia without a state/country.
- A city search is exact to the stored city name rather than a radius search. Try a state or country search when a nearby suburb or alternate city name returns nothing.
- A public result can show only an approximate warehouse position. The exact warehouse address is revealed after sign-in on the profile when the account is allowed to see it.
- Search returns at most the configured result limit for the matching market; filters help narrow the returned set but do not reserve capacity.
Finished when
- The results heading shows the intended city, region, or country and at least one eligible shipper, or you have deliberately broadened the search after a valid zero-result response.
- You have not yet treated location search as proof of service, capacity, pricing, or contract readiness.
What this changes
- Searching changes only the results URL and displayed candidates. It does not create an account, conversation, contract, shipment, reservation, or charge.
- Starting a new location search replaces the current location context; scenario and filter controls should be rechecked for the new market.
Common problems
The Search button is disabled.
Enter a nonblank location. If suggestions are available, choose one before selecting Search.
Suggestions do not appear.
Enter at least two characters, check the spelling and network connection, then submit a complete city/state/country phrase. The text-search fallback can still build a search.
No shippers are found for a valid city.
Remove filters, clear the scenario separately if applied, then search the state/province or country. A nearby warehouse stored under another city will not necessarily match the city query.
The results are in the wrong Georgia, Washington, or similarly named place.
Return to the location field and select the suggestion whose secondary text contains the correct state/province and country.
Safety checks
- Do not enter a street address, customer name, order number, or other personal information into the public location search.
- Do not assume a result is available for your work until its profile, required services, capacity, and contract state are reviewed.
- Contact support when a correctly selected suggestion produces the wrong country/region, the same valid public search repeatedly errors, or a known approved shipper does not appear after all filters and scenarios are cleared. Include the displayed search phrase and results URL.
